This hiking route takes you through a stunning area with a total distance of 6.961 kilometers and an elevation gain of 779 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure. Starting from the trailhead, you will first come across the Jägerstübli restaurant, located just 25 meters from the trail, where you can grab a bite to eat before your journey.

As you continue on, about 0.04 kilometers from the start, you'll find informative points along the trail to enrich your hike. Further along, at a distance of 1.78 kilometers, there is a drinking water station for you to refill your water bottles and stay hydrated.

Midway through the hike, at 2.35 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Augstmatthorn peak offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. As you push forward, at 3.48 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter another peak, Wytlouwihoren, providing a different perspective of the area.

On your way back, at around 0.25 kilometers from the start, you can refill your water bottle once again at another drinking water station. Additionally, there are more informative points to explore at 0.04 kilometers and 0.05 kilometers from the start.
