This hiking route takes you through the scenic area surrounding Papenberg. The trail is 4.323 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 144 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Kämpchen parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail. Approximately 0.65 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water point which is not directly on the trail. Around the 1 kilometer mark, you will reach the Naturpark Arnsberger Wald information point, providing insights into the local flora and fauna.

Continuing along the trail, at around 1.04 kilometers, you will encounter a natural spring that is easily accessible from the path. Further ahead, at 1.1 kilometers, there is another spring although slightly off the trail. At 1.45 kilometers, you will reach another spring before proceeding to the highlight of the hike - the Papenberg peak at 2.16 kilometers.

The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps on the way back. Remember to bring an adequate water supply, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
