Located in the picturesque mountains of Transfăgărășan, this moderate hiking route will take you on a 3.617-kilometer circular journey with an elevation gain of 412 meters.
Starting at Lacul Bâlea, a beautiful water feature at the beginning of the trail, you will soon come across the Panoramă Transfăgărășan viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views just 0.03 kilometers from the start.
As you make your way through the trail, you will pass by the peak of Vânătarea lui Buteanu at 1.63 kilometers from the start and the saddle of Șaua Caprei at 0.74 kilometers. Don't forget to take a break and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings.
Further along the route, as you reach 1.41 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another scenic saddle, Șaua Vaiuga, followed by a parking area at 0.03 kilometers for those needing a rest or planning a longer exploration.
Educational and informative stops are available too, with an information point at 0.75 kilometers near Șaua Caprei. Additionally, you can admire the peaks of Capra and Văiuga at 1.52 and 1.1 kilometers from the starting point, respectively.
