The Schlangenweg hiking route is a super easy trail that stretches for 1.847 kilometers with an elevation gain of 40 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, taking you through a picturesque area with various points of interest along the way.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, at 0.89 kilometers from the start, you'll find a natural water source for refilling your water bottles. Further along, at 0.92 kilometers, there is a beautiful viewpoint where you can stop and admire the surrounding scenery.

For a leisurely break, there is a picnic site located at 0.76 kilometers from the starting point, perfect for enjoying a snack amidst nature. Additionally, there are benches at 0.84 kilometers and an artwork named Sankt Nepomuk at 0.48 kilometers from the beginning, offering opportunities to take a rest and appreciate the surroundings.

If you're feeling hungry, there are two restaurants along the route. Heckenwirtschaft Müller is located at 0.03 kilometers from the start, while Heckenwirtschaft Mahr is at the very beginning of the trail.

As the hike is relatively short and easy, it is recommended to bring an ample supply of water, especially on warmer days.
