This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Kaštelir / Monte Castellier. The trail is super easy with no elevation gain, making it perfect for hikers of all levels. You will start your journey at the trailhead where you can find parking facilities without any fees.
As you follow the trail, you will come across several points of interest. About 0.6 kilometers from the start, you will find the Castelliere di Elleri, an archaeological site rich in history. Nearby, there is also an information point providing insights into the area's heritage.
Continuing on, at a distance of approximately 0.6 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Kaštelir / Monte Castellier, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. Here, you can also explore the ruins of a historic boundary stone and learn more about the area's significance.
Along the way back, you can stop at Gostilna Hrvatin, a restaurant about 0.03 kilometers from the start, to replenish your energy with some local cuisine.
