Welcome to Heiligenberg, a historic area with stunning views and archaeological sites. This hiking route is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of 0.947 kilometers and an elevation gain of 42 meters. It should take you roughly 19 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you'll come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Moving along, at about 200 meters into the hike, you'll reach the Thingstätte monument. This historic site offers a glimpse into the past and is a great spot to take in some local history.
Continuing on your way, approximately 430 meters from the start, you'll encounter the St. Michaelskloster ruins, a fascinating archaeological site with ruins and historical significance. Further along, at the 400-meter mark, you'll find more ruins to explore.
Midway through your hike, you'll pass by the Waldschenke restaurant, a perfect place to take a break and refuel before heading back. As you near the end of the trail, about 470 meters in, you'll reach the Nordwestturm viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
