This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area around Refuge de la Barmaz. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 7.738 kilometers and an elevation gain of 382 meters, making it a difficult hike.

As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, there is a parking area followed by a restaurant called Hôtel du barrage where you can grab a bite to eat before starting your journey. Further along the trail, about 3.52 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point providing insights about the area.

Midway through your hike, at around 3.87 kilometers from the start, you will reach Refuge de la Barmaz, an alpine hut where you can rest and take in the stunning views of the surroundings. Make sure to check their website for more information about the hut.

On the way back, you can stop at Le Choucas, a bar located 1.25 kilometers from the start, to relax and refresh yourself after the challenging hike. Additionally, there are various information points and a picnic site along the trail where you can learn more about the area and enjoy a meal outdoors.
