This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Kellerbauer Weg Chemnitzer Hütte to Speikboden and back. With a total distance of 13.546 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1524 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by various points of interest. At the start, you will find parking areas for your convenience. About midway through the hike, you will come across Pietersteiner Alm, a lovely viewpoint where you can take a break and enjoy the scenery.
Further along the trail, at approximately 6.1 kilometers from the start, you will find Sonnklarhütte, a restaurant where you can refuel and rest before continuing your trek. Nearby, there is also Kohlgrube, a wheelchair-accessible pub, and a fountain for a quick refreshment.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will encounter Speikboden, a popular viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. Finally, at around 6.77 kilometers from the start, you will reach a free flying site for paragliding enthusiasts looking to take off into the sky.
