This hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape surrounding Hilmersberg. The 9.003-kilometer trail offers a challenging yet rewarding experience, with an elevation gain of 781 meters over a duration of approximately 4 hours.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across convenient parking facilities to leave your vehicle before hitting the trail. Just a short distance away, you'll find Peters Bruennl, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Further along the trail, Sadnighaus restaurant offers another opportunity to refuel before continuing on.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching Göritzer Törl, a picturesque saddle located around 2.89 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains before making your way to the summit of Hilmersberg, standing at 4.5 kilometers from the start.
As you make your way back, you'll pass by information points providing insights into the area's natural and historic landmarks. Keep an eye out for Kluidtörl saddle, located 3.65 kilometers from the start, although it's slightly off the main trail.
