This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful Monte Ario area. The trail covers a distance of approximately 7.1 kilometers with an elevation gain of 599 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Bar Ristorante Pizzeria Rifugio degli Elfi, a picturesque restaurant located at the beginning of the trail where you can refuel before your adventure. Further along the trail, you will find the Chiosco Panini Bibite, a bar offering snacks and beverages for hikers.
Along the way, you will also encounter several picnic sites such as Vaghezza and other information points like Pian del Bene, providing opportunities to relax and learn more about the area. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as some of these sites are located a bit further from the trail.
As you continue your hike, you will reach the peaks of Monte Campello and Monte Ario, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The Passo delle Piazze saddle is another noteworthy spot along the trail, providing a unique vantage point.
