Located in the beautiful region of Crévoux, the hike to Ancien Canal du Méale offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area. This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 4.802 kilometers with an elevation gain of 218.0 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for hikers of all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will pass by Le Pont du Plan, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. Close to the beginning of the trail, you will find an information point providing insights about the surroundings.
Continuing on, at around 2.4 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a scenic water feature. This spot offers a perfect opportunity to take a break, enjoy the views, and maybe even have a snack while rejuvenating by the water.
Further along the path, at approximately 0.94 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Cabane des Espagnols, a charming cabin where you can learn more about the local history and culture. Nearby, you will also find Le canal de Méal, La Cabane des Espagnols, another informative spot worth exploring.
