This hiking route takes you to the stunning Sulphur Mountain in Banff. The trail is 15.621 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 972 meters, making it extremely difficult. It is estimated to take about 6 hours to complete.

Starting at the Banff Gondola parking area, you will begin your journey towards Sulphur Mountain. About 0.28 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Upper Hot Springs, a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. As you continue on, at around the 5.01 kilometer mark, you will reach a viewpoint where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Around the 7.81 kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Sulphur Mountain, offering you a sense of accomplishment and stunning views of the Canadian Rockies. Along the trail, there are also dining options such as the Sky Bistro and Northern Lights Cafe, perfect for refueling before or after your hike.

Since this is an extremely difficult hike, it is essential to come prepared. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before heading out. Despite the challenging terrain, the remarkable views and sense of achievement at the summit make it all worth it.
