This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Lac de Catogne. The trail is 9.841 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 951 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 39 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest. About 3.47 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source. At around 3.07 kilometers in, there is an information point. Further along the trail, at 4.86 kilometers, you will find the peak of Tête de Balme, although it is off the main trail.

Midway through the hike, at 4.92 kilometers, you will reach the stunning Lac de Catogne, a picturesque lake where you can take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, there is a restaurant, Le Café Comptoir, just 0.2 kilometers away from the trail for a quick bite to eat.

It's important to note that there are several parking areas along the trail, including Parking de la Mairie and Vallorcine Gare, for your convenience. Additionally, it's recommended to bring plenty of water, as the hike is long and can be strenuous due to the elevation gain.
