This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Pied Moutet peak. The trail covers a distance of 6.415 kilometers with an elevation gain of 597 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, located 0.23 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, you will embark on your journey towards Pied Moutet. Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest. Approximately 0.62 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding views.
As you continue on, at around 1.96 kilometers from the start, you will reach the picturesque Col de Mais saddle. Take in the breathtaking vistas before pushing forward towards the peak. About 3.21 kilometers into the hike, you will arrive at the Pied Moutet peak itself, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the trail, you will also encounter benches and historical sites, such as a wayside cross named Croix located 2.75 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there is an information point about Pied Moutet 3.06 kilometers into the hike, providing insights into the peak's significance.
