This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area in Chicago, starting at the Trumpeter Swan - Under Water Viewing Area. The trail is super easy and covers a distance of 0.686 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it perfect for hikers of all levels.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Hans Christian Andersen Monument and the Adelor the lion artwork. Further along the trail, you will come across the Park Place Cafe, where you can take a break and grab a snack.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter the Lincoln Park Zoo, a wheelchair-accessible attraction that is free to enter. Nearby, you can also visit the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and the Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller Monument.
Towards the end of the trail, you will find the Hope B. McCormick Swan Pond, the viewing shelter, and the John Caldwell Meeker memorial. These spots offer great opportunities to relax and take in the surroundings before making your way back.
