Welcome to Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago! This hiking route is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of 0.551 kilometers and no elevation gain.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the East Lot parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Further along, at around 0.19 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, a beautiful water feature to admire.
Continuing on, at around 0.24 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by the Eli Bates Fountain (Storks at Play) and the William Shakespeare Monument, adding a touch of art and history to your hike.
As you approach the midway point of the trail, at around 0.26 kilometers from the start, you'll see the Regenstein Macaque Forest and the African Penguin exhibit, offering a unique wildlife experience. Further along, at around 0.28 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Under Water Viewing Area shelter, where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, you'll also encounter various other attractions like the Giraffe, Plains Zebra, Polar Bears, and more, making it an exciting and diverse trail to explore.
