This extremely difficult 20.686 km out-and-back hiking route takes you to the stunning Belvédère des 3 refuges in the picturesque area. The trail starts at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Lac de Puy Aillaud, a beautiful water body located approximately 7.96 km from the starting point. This serene lake provides a perfect spot to take in the surrounding natural beauty and maybe even have a rest.

Further along the trail, at around 3.26 km from the start, you will come across a rocky area, adding a rugged element to the landscape. Be cautious as you navigate this terrain, especially if the area is not directly on the trail.

For those in need of facilities, there are parking areas scattered along the trail, the nearest being just 0.02 km from the start. Additionally, there is a shelter located right at the beginning of the route, offering a place to seek refuge if needed.

Around the halfway point, at 10.34 km from the start, you will reach the Belvédère des 3 refuges viewpoint. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area, making the challenging hike well worth it.
