This hiking route will take you through the stunning area towards Puente Inka - Machupicchu. The trail is 2.097 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 240 meters, making it an easy hike that can be completed in approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes.
Starting at the parking area, you will make your way towards Ciudadela de Machu Picchu, an ancient archaeological site located 0.32 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you will come across Tumba Real and Puerta de la Ciudad, both historic sites that are equally intriguing to explore.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Machu Picchu Control, where you can gather more information about the area. Further along the trail, you'll encounter Puente Inka, a famous Incan bridge that is 1.05 kilometers from the start. Nearby, you can stop for a meal at Restaurante Buffet Tinkuy, located just 0.04 kilometers from the trail.
Along the trail, there are several viewpoints offering breathtaking scenery, including those at 0.99, 1.05, 1.03, 0.89, 0.56, 1.03, 0.1, 0.34, and 0.34 kilometers from the start. These viewpoints are perfect for taking a break and enjoying the surrounding beauty.
