This hiking route takes you to the stunning area around Rosskofel, offering breathtaking views and a challenging trek. The total distance of the route is 8.36 kilometers with an elevation gain of 526 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will find a parking area right at the trailhead. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as the first rest stop at Gasthof Kurterhof is located 0.05 kilometers from the start, offering a chance to refuel and rest.

Continuing along the trail, you will pass by a wayside cross at 2.85 kilometers from the start, adding a touch of history to your hike. As you make your way up, Rosszogel peak will be visible at 3.78 kilometers from the start, with Rosskofel peak coming into view at 4.18 kilometers.

Although there is no drinking water source directly on the trail, it's essential to carry an adequate supply with you. Remember to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.

After reaching Rosskofel peak, take in the panoramic views before retracing your steps back to the starting point. This out-and-back route allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings and enjoy a memorable hiking experience.
