Starting at an elevation of 1465 meters, you will begin your journey at the Haideralm - Malga San Valentino alpine hut. Make sure to fill up your water bottle at the drinking water station nearby before you head out. The trail begins with a gentle incline, gradually leading you deeper into the mountainous terrain.
As you hike along, you will come across the Hotel Lamm, where you can take a break and savor some local cuisine. Further along the route, at a distance of 5 kilometers from the start, you will reach a beautiful viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the surrounding valley.
Passing by the Pizzeria Lampl and a wayside shrine, you will continue your ascent towards a shelter located 4 kilometers from the trailhead. Take a moment to rest at the bench and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before making your way to another viewpoint at a distance of 1 kilometer.
As you approach the end of the trail at 2288 meters elevation, you will encounter a historic wayside cross, marking the completion of your journey at Rio Vallaccia. This out-and-back route covers a distance of 10.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 827 meters, offering a moderate level of difficulty.
