The hike starts at a parking area located at the trailhead, where you can find useful information about the route before setting off. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by the Karalm restaurant, which is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some local cuisine just 0.2 kilometers from the start.

Further along the trail, at around 3.8 kilometers from the beginning, you will come across the Gsengalmhütte alpine hut, where you can rest and refuel before continuing your journey. The hut offers a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surrounding alpine scenery.

At the midway point of the trail, around 5.16 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Schober, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take in the beauty of the area and capture some memorable photos.

On the way back, you can stop by Maxwassal spring at 4.14 kilometers from the start to refill your water bottle and freshen up before completing the hike.
