This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful alpine landscape near Gsengalmhütte. The trail covers a distance of 7.594 kilometers with an elevation gain of 511 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous but rewarding hike.

Starting from the parking area located right at the trailhead, you will pass by Karalm, a restaurant situated just 0.2 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat before continuing on your journey. Along the way, you will come across two informational points at 0.02 kilometers and 3.76 kilometers from the start, providing interesting facts about the area.

As you make your way towards Gsengalmhütte, you will encounter a bench at 1.67 kilometers from the start, offering a nice place to take a break and soak in the stunning views. Keep an eye out for Kleiner Traunstein, a peak located 3.34 kilometers from the start, although it is slightly off the main trail.

After a challenging trek, you will finally reach Gsengalmhütte at 3.8 kilometers from the start. This alpine hut is a cozy refuge where you can rest and refuel before heading back. The hike is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back to the parking area.
