This hiking route follows the Saalenbergweg trail, offering a leisurely and super easy trek through a picturesque area. The trail is a circular route with a distance of approximately 1.3 kilometers and an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting at the parking area, hikers will pass by various points of interest along the way. About 0.22 kilometers from the start, you will come across a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along, at around 0.28 kilometers, there is another bench conveniently located on the trail for another resting spot.

As you continue on the trail, you will come across a memorial at about 0.35 kilometers into the hike, adding a touch of historic significance to the journey. At the 0.42-kilometer mark, there is another bench for hikers to take a break and soak in the natural beauty of the area.

About halfway through the hike, at 0.48 kilometers, you will encounter the Brünnelehütte shelter where you can take a break and maybe even enjoy a meal. Nearby, there is a wayside shrine and the Saalenberg-Kapelle viewpoint, offering a cultural and scenic experience.

Towards the end of the hike, around the 0.54-kilometer mark, you will find more benches for resting and a wayside cross adding to the historic charm of the trail. Additionally, there is a fountain and a BBQ area for hikers to enjoy.
