This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with a total distance of 11.282 kilometers and an elevation gain of 281 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek. The total duration for this hike is approximately 3 hours and 18 minutes.
Starting off, you will pass by La Isla, a restaurant located just 0.1 kilometers from the trailhead. You can grab a bite to eat or plan a meal for the way back. As you continue on, you will come across Pinosaguas, another restaurant that is right by the trail, allowing you to take a break and refuel.
About midway through your journey, at 5.64 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Alpine Hut known as Refugio Libre del Aguilón. This can be a great spot to take a rest, enjoy the surroundings, and maybe even spend the night if you're up for a camping adventure.
Along the trail, you will also find a picnic site just 0.07 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and have a snack while taking in the scenic views. There is also a spring located at 5.61 kilometers from the beginning, offering a refreshing break with natural water.
Before you head back, at the 3.71-kilometer mark from the start, you will discover a saddle known as the Saddle del Aguilón, which is a noteworthy natural feature along the route.
