This extremely difficult 12.411-kilometer out-and-back hike to Cap de Baladredo offers a challenging trek through the beautiful natural surroundings. Starting at the parking area, hikers will traverse rugged terrain and ascend a total of 715 meters in elevation gain.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 5.87 kilometers from the start, you will reach Coll de Baladredo, a picturesque saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail at 3.4 kilometers from the start, you will come across Font de Pardines, a refreshing spring where you can rest and recharge.
As you approach the 1.09-kilometer mark, keep an eye out for informational signage providing insights into the history and geography of the area. Additionally, there are drinking water facilities available for hikers to refill their supplies at the beginning of the trail.
At the midway point of the hike, at 1.99 kilometers from the start, you will find els Cortalets, a notable peak offering panoramic views of the region. Continuing on, the trail leads to Cap de Baladredo, the final destination of the hike, approximately 6.21 kilometers from the start. Here, you can soak in breathtaking vistas from the summit.
On the return journey, take a moment to appreciate the historic significance of Collet dels Cortalets, a saddle located 2.17 kilometers from the start, and the nearby battlefield site at 1.99 kilometers from the start.
