Căldării Ocolite

This hike takes you on a challenging adventure through a beautiful alpine landscape. The route is circular, starting and ending at Căldării Ocolite. With a total distance of 14.225 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1439 meters, this hike is categorized as extremely difficult and is suitable for experienced hikers.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Baciu alpine hut, Cabana 7 Crai, and Tămaș, which provide accommodation options for hikers looking to spend the night in the wilderness. These alpine huts are conveniently located along the trail, offering a place to rest and refuel.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of La Om, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area. As you continue along the trail, you will also encounter the shelter named Șpirla and Refugiul Saua Grindului, providing additional facilities for hikers.

At the end of the hike, you will reach the peak of Căldării Ocolite, where you can admire the stunning scenery before making your way back to the starting point. Along the way, make sure to stop by the spring at a distance of 3.45 kilometers from the start and the viewpoint at La Zaplaz at 4.76 kilometers.
