Welcome to the hiking route to Ferrata Sassongher!
This challenging 8.516-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and an elevation gain of 833 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area, you will pass by Edelweisshütte, a cozy restaurant about 0.71 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you'll reach St. Franziskus wayside cross at 1.68 kilometers, providing a moment of reflection before continuing on.
Along the way, you will encounter several information points providing insights into the area's history and natural surroundings. Be sure to stop by these points to learn more about the landscape you're exploring.
Midway through the hike, at around 4.13 kilometers, you'll find a peak with spectacular panoramic views, perfect for a rest and taking in the scenery.
As you near the end of the trail, approximately 4.26 kilometers from the start, you will reach another peak that offers a different perspective of the surroundings.
