The Kesselberg hiking route is located in a picturesque area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail spans a total distance of 10.406 kilometers with an elevation gain of 670.0 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take approximately 4 hours and 5 minutes to complete.

As you embark on your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a convenient parking area. As you make your way along the route, be sure to stop by the Kesselberghütte - Rifugio Valcanova and Mittagerhütte restaurants to refuel and enjoy a meal with breathtaking mountain views.

Further along the trail, you will encounter the Öttenbacher Alm - Malga Öttenbach alpine hut, though it is slightly off the trail. For nature lovers, the Windspitz peak and Kleiner Mittager peak offer a chance to explore off the beaten path.

At the midpoint of the hike, you will reach the Kesselbergscharte saddle, a perfect spot to rest and take in the panoramic vistas. Along the way back, you can learn more about the area at the various information points and even spot a historic wayside cross.
