This extremely difficult 17.079-kilometer circular hiking route around Peña Roya offers breathtaking views and challenging terrain for experienced hikers. The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this epic journey.
As you make your way along the path, you will encounter various points of interest. At around 5.99 kilometers from the start, you will come across the stunning Ibón de Asnos, a beautiful mountain lake perfect for a rest and photo opportunity.
Further along the trail, at approximately 4.73 kilometers from the beginning, you will find the Refugio de Sabocos, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and maybe even spend the night if you're up for an overnight adventure.
At around 8.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Peña Roya, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape that will make all your hard work worthwhile.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various amenities such as Cervecería Cobaxo, a pub around the trail, for some well-deserved refreshments.
