Welcome to the Nandlsteig hiking route! This moderate 6.634-kilometer circular trail offers a wonderful outdoor experience in the beautiful surroundings of the area.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Speicherteich, a lovely water feature just 0.19 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take in the serene surroundings and maybe even spot some wildlife.

Further along the trail at 2.33 kilometers from the start, you will come across an information point where you can learn more about the area's history and geology. Continuing on, at 3.12 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Erzengelstein wayside shrine and a scenic viewpoint with benches to rest and enjoy the panoramic views.

At the midway point of the hike, around 3.16 kilometers from the start, there is another viewpoint where you can take a break and catch your breath while admiring the landscape. Make sure to stay hydrated and bring plenty of water with you, as the elevation gain of 478 meters can be challenging.

Towards the end of the trail, around 2.82 kilometers from the start, you will encounter more information points where you can delve deeper into the history and nature of the area. As you make your way back to the starting point, take a moment to appreciate the peaceful surroundings and maybe stop by the Ins Lift restaurant for a well-deserved meal.

Before embarking on the Nandlsteig hike, remember to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. It's always a good idea to wear sturdy hiking shoes and pack some snacks to keep your energy up throughout the journey.
