This hiking route takes you to Mittagsnock, a peak in the beautiful mountainous area. The trail is 6.158 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 562.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers. It is expected to take about 2 hours and 49 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area, which is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail. About halfway through the hike, you will pass by an information point at Lamboden, where you can learn more about the area and its history.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Traninger Wand, a popular climbing spot located about 0.5 kilometers from the trail. If you're up for a challenge, this could be a great side excursion to test your climbing skills.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach the Mittagsnock peak, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. At the peak, you will find the Sonnblick-Kreuz wayside cross, a historic landmark that serves as a point of interest for hikers.
