This hiking route takes you through the stunning landscapes of Roc de Puigcerdà. The trail is 16.602 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 889 meters, making it extremely difficult. It is recommended to set aside around 6 hours for this hike.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area. Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, as this will be your last chance for amenities for a while. About 7.4 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Collet de Coma de Fornos, a beautiful saddle where you can take a rest and enjoy the panoramic views.
Continuing along the trail, you will encounter the ruins of barraca de peda seca 10119 and barraca de pedra seca 10118, both located around the 7-kilometer mark. These historic sites provide a glimpse into the past of the area.
As you approach the halfway point, at around 8.3 kilometers, you will reach Roc de Puigcerdà, a peak offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and capture some memorable photos.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by Coll Pan, a saddle located around 3.65 kilometers from the start, and a spring at 1.71 kilometers, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
Due to the length and elevation gain of this trail, it is important to come prepared with proper hiking gear, including sturdy footwear and adequate clothing. Be sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
