This hiking route takes you through the beautiful landscape of Hong Kong Island, starting at the Japanese AOP and leading you along Sir Cecil's Ride. The trail is 2.635 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 70 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Along the way, you'll come across various points of interest to enhance your hiking experience. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find the Kwoon Chung Bus Group Parking Site for your convenience. As you continue, you'll pass by a water source and a shelter where you can take a break. Further along, you'll encounter a fountain and more shelters for resting.
For history enthusiasts, there are ruins and information points scattered along the trail, providing insights into the area's past. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Braemar Hill, a natural peak near the trail.
As this is an out-and-back route, you'll retrace your steps back to the starting point at the Japanese AOP. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
