This challenging 8.65-kilometer circular hiking route to Cima di Grugola offers stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way.
Starting at Malga Doch, a shelter just 0.03 kilometers from the trail, hikers will pass by several parking areas before reaching a water source at the 2.28-kilometer mark. The trail then leads to Forcella Grugola, a saddle point at 3.56 kilometers, and an information point at 0.14 kilometers.
Further along the route, a wayside shrine can be found at 3.83 kilometers, with additional information points at 2.39 and 0.29 kilometers. At 3.01 kilometers, hikers will encounter Alpe Pisorno before reaching the peak of Cima di Grugola at 3.92 kilometers.
Although there are information points and a lake (Lago di Calaita) near the trail, they are not directly on the path.
With 794 meters of elevation gain, this hike is classified as difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
