This hike takes place in the beautiful area surrounding the Zoo de Lunaret in Montpellier. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.1 kilometers and an elevation gain of 33 meters, making it a relatively easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will pass by several parking areas, some of which are closer to the beginning while others are scattered along the trail. About 0.8 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Zoo de Lunaret, where you can marvel at a variety of animals including lions, giraffes, and cheetahs.
Continuing on, you will encounter attractions such as the Singes empereur et hurleur (Emperor and Howler Monkeys) enclosure, the Addax exhibit, and the Nandou d'Amérique et Tapir section. As you reach the turnaround point of the hike, you will come across the Canard (Duck) area, where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings before heading back.
