This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Lomeras, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The 6.41-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 1036 meters is rated as difficult, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.
Starting your hike at La Espiganosa parking area, you will soon come across the Cascada de la Espigantosa waterfall, located approximately 0.26 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Take a moment to admire the cascading waters before continuing on.
As you trek onwards, you will encounter a spring at 1.7 kilometers into the hike, providing a refreshing spot to rest and refill your water supply. The trail then leads you to several peaks, including one 2.57 kilometers in and another at 3.21 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the way, you may also come across historical landmarks such as the Fundición del Freixenal monument and the Gruta fundición cave entrance, both adding a cultural element to your outdoor adventure.
