Welcome to the Austernweg hiking route! This trail offers a super easy hiking experience with a total distance of 1.14 kilometers and no elevation gain.
You will start your hike at a convenient parking area, located just a short distance from the trailhead. As you begin your journey, you will come across the Biggale pub, where you can stop for a quick break or refreshment.
Along the way, you will encounter the Kriegerdenkmal memorial, providing a glimpse into the area's historic significance. Further ahead, you will reach the peak of Steinhirt, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural beauty.
For sustenance, the Berghütte Kraterblick restaurant is situated near the trail, providing a perfect spot to rest and refuel before continuing your adventure. Additionally, you will pass by a peaceful water feature, perfect for a tranquil moment amidst nature.
As you explore the trail, you will come across various points of interest, such as the Sammleraufschluss viewpoint and the Wäldldesfels rock formation. Be sure to take a moment at the Froschfelsen rock and enjoy the scenic views it offers.
