This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning wilderness huts and natural peaks to explore. The trail is 10.925 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 701 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will soon come across the Cabane de Courrau d'Antenac, a charming wilderness hut located 4.15 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
Continuing on, you will find the Cabane Cap de Salieres at the 4.62-kilometer mark, although it is slightly off the main trail. This shelter offers a nice resting spot with excellent views.
At around the midway point of the hike, you will pass by a spring at 4.62 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing opportunity to refill your water supply.
As you approach the end of the trail, you will encounter some impressive natural peaks, including Cap de Salière and Cap de Laragouère. Finally, at 5.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Cap de la Coume de Mourdère, the ultimate destination of this hike.
Throughout the hike, it is important to bring an adequate supply of water, as well as snacks and a map of the area.
