This challenging circular hiking route will take you through the stunning landscapes of the Pointe de Venise / Punta Venezia area.
Starting at the RIfugio Albergo Alpino "Pian del Re", you will embark on a 7.844-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1025 meters. Be prepared for a 4-hour and 22-minute adventure that will test your hiking skills.
Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest. About 2.62 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Rifugio Vitale Giacoletti, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views. Further along the trail, at 3.5 kilometers, you will find the Bivacco di punta Venezia, a shelter for hikers seeking a rest stop.
As you continue your journey, you will pass by historical ruins, such as the ones at 0.18 kilometers and 0.21 kilometers from the start. You will also have the opportunity to explore natural wonders like the Sorgente del Po spring at 0.18 kilometers and the information point at La Geologia di Pian del Re at 0.03 kilometers.
For the more adventurous hikers, there are climbing opportunities at various points along the trail, including Punta Udine at 2.75 kilometers and Pointe de Venise at 3.55 kilometers.
