This hiking route takes you through a challenging and extremely difficult terrain, spanning a distance of 19.892 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1500 meters. The destination of this out-and-back trail is the stunning Canale della Raja.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey through the picturesque surroundings. Along the way, at about 5.12 kilometers from the start, you will come across a shelter where you can take a break and rest. Further ahead, at around 4.58 kilometers, there is a water source, followed by another water point at 4.61 kilometers.
As you continue on, at 9.95 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the mesmerizing Canale della Raja waterfall, known for its beauty and serenity. Take some time to admire the cascading waters before heading back on the trail.
Midway through the hike, at 4.53 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Bocchetta dei Fornei, a scenic saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 4.66 kilometers, there is Punta Scalaccia peak, although not directly on the trail.
For sustenance and refreshment, there is a drinking water station at 1.44 kilometers and the Heidi restaurant at 0.47 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect pit stop for hikers.
