This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Hornauer Weiher, a scenic lake nestled in nature. The trail is 2.84 kilometers long with no elevation gain, making it an easy trek suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Hornauer Weiher at 0.43 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, offering a serene spot to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further along the path at 1.41 kilometers, you will encounter another water feature, providing a refreshing sight along the way.

For a unique experience, consider visiting the Jugendzeltplatz Altmühlsprung campsite located 0.18 kilometers from the trail, offering a place to rest and recharge. Nearby, you will find a BBQ area at the same distance, perfect for a picnic break amidst nature.

At various points along the trail, you will also find benches (0.43 kilometers) and a spring called Altmühlquelle (0.51 kilometers) to quench your thirst and relax during your hike.
