This extremely difficult 16.652-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the majestic peak of Chiregelischibe. The trail starts in a picturesque area with various points of interest along the way.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Eggli restaurant, just 0.04 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to grab a quick bite before continuing on your adventure. Further along the trail, at 0.22 kilometers from the start, you will find the Egg information point where you can learn more about the area.

Midway through the hike, you will encounter the Spillgerten restaurant, although it is located 129.575 meters off the trail, so you may need to venture a bit off the path to reach it. Additionally, there is a campsite called Eggmatte located 120.217 meters from the trail for those looking to stay overnight and immerse themselves in nature.

Closer to the end of the trail, at 8.33 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Chiregelischibe peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This is the perfect spot to rest and refuel before making your way back.

Given the length of the hike and the 1017-meter elevation gain, it is important to be well-prepared. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Check the weather forecast before heading out and make sure to pace yourself throughout the challenging terrain.
