This challenging 8.58-kilometer circular hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Ryvoan Bothy and Glenmore Lodge Road. The trail starts at Glenmore Visitor Centre Car Park, where you can park your vehicle before embarking on this adventure.
As you start your hike, you'll come across the Reindeer Centre, a fascinating attraction just 0.15 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, at 0.05 kilometers from the start, you'll find a cafe and the Glenmore Visitor Centre, where you can gather information about the area.
Midway through the hike, approximately 1.9 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a bench where you can take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Continuing on, at 2.79 kilometers from the start, another bench awaits you for a moment of relaxation.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to visit An Lochan Uaine, a picturesque water feature located 2.8 kilometers from the trailhead. Finally, at 3.98 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Ryvoan, a wilderness hut where you can take a well-deserved break and admire the scenic views.
With an elevation gain of 71 meters, this hike is classified as difficult due to its length and terrain. It is important to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
