This challenging circular hiking route in the Belatza area covers a distance of 9.54 kilometers with an elevation gain of 464 meters, taking approximately 3 hours and 22 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey with a gentle walk before encountering the first point of interest - Tontor Handia peak, located 3.82 kilometers from the starting point. Although not directly on the trail, this peak offers stunning panoramic views and is worth a slight detour.
As you continue along the trail, 2.12 kilometers from the start, you will come across an information point providing insights into the area's history and geography. Further along, at 0.07 kilometers from the start, you will find a restaurant where you can refuel and rest before pushing on.
At the 4.7 kilometer mark, you'll reach the Belatza peak, a natural landmark offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. This marks the midway point of your hike, and a great spot to take a break and admire the scenery.
Throughout the trail, there are various amenities available such as drinking water stations located at regular intervals for your convenience. Additionally, a memorial site known as "Memorial Joserra" is situated 4.59 kilometers from the starting point, providing a moment of reflection on your journey.
