This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through a 14.762-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1377.0 meters. The route is an out-and-back trail leading to the beautiful Laghetto di Terrafrancia.
Starting off the trail, you'll find the Lower Cable Car Parking area about 0.66 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue, you'll come across the Piazza Don Gnifetti and the Laghetto di Terrafrancia, which is a must-see natural water feature located approximately 7.38 kilometers into the hike.
Along the way, hikers will also encounter the historic Bivacco Don Luigi Ravelli at around 7.35 kilometers into the trail. There are also several interesting points like building ruins, cave entrances, and a former chairlift station to explore.
For sustenance and amenities, cafes, restaurants, and water sources are available at various points along the trail. It is recommended to bring enough water, snacks, and proper hiking gear due to the length and difficulty of the route.
