This hiking route will take you to the stunning Col de la Coumme in a beautiful natural area. The route is an out-and-back type, starting at the Granges d‘Astau parking area.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by a lovely water feature just a short distance from the starting point. Make sure to bring enough water with you for the journey, as the elevation gain is significant at 1115 meters and covers a distance of 9.428 kilometers.

As you continue on the trail, about 4 kilometers in, you will reach the picturesque Col de la Coumme, where you can enjoy breathtaking viewpoints of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the natural beauty around you.

On your way back, make a pit stop at the Auberge d‘Astau cafe for a quick refreshment before continuing your descent. About 1 kilometer from the endpoint, you will come across the Medassole Inf. shelter, providing a cozy spot to rest before completing your hike.
