This extremely difficult 10.914-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning peak of Sommet de la Coume de Bourg. The trail starts at the parking area near Granges d‘Astau, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging journey.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by a tranquil spring located 4.75 kilometers from the start. Be sure to bring plenty of water with you, as this natural water source may not always be easily accessible.
Around 1.74 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Medassole Inf., a convenient shelter where you can take a break and admire the surrounding nature. Continuing on, at the 4.71-kilometer mark, you'll reach Col de la Coumme, a picturesque saddle with stunning viewpoints to enjoy.
