This hiking route in the Goreto-Merletti area is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail, spanning 12.943 kilometers in total with an elevation gain of 1301 meters. The estimated duration for this challenging hike is approximately 6 hours and 15 minutes.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across the historic wayside shrine at the start of the trail. Continuing on, you'll encounter the viewpoint at Cascata dell'acqua bianca, offering a picturesque sight to take in. Along the way, make sure to stay hydrated as there are drinking water facilities at various points including one at 2.09 kilometers into the hike.
At around the 4.76 kilometer mark, you'll find the serene Laghi del Turlo, a beautiful spot to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings. Further along the trail at 6.1 kilometers, you'll reach Colle di Turlo, a significant saddle point offering stunning panoramic views.
For a refreshing break, visit Cascata dell'Acqua Bianca, a waterfall located approximately 0.97 kilometers into the hike. Additionally, there are additional viewpoints and water sources available along the route for hikers to utilize.
