This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the Östlicher Maroikopf peak and back, covering a distance of 13.774 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1111 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 5 hours and 57 minutes.

The trail starts at a parking area near the trailhead. As you begin your journey, you will pass by a parking area and a restaurant called Berghaus Stuben, where you can grab a meal before venturing further. Around 4.79 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a water source. Make sure to refill your water bottles here as the next water point is at a distance of 4.5 kilometers.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.21 kilometers, you will reach a saddle known as Maroischarte. Take a moment to rest and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, you will pass by an alpine hut called Kaltenberghütte at 4.47 kilometers from the start.
