This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area around Piccolo Monte Re. The trail is 6.605 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 581 meters, making it a difficult hike that is suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. About 0.34 kilometers into the trail, you will come across the Miniera, an old mine that serves as a unique attraction along the route. Further along, at the 3.3 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Glück auf wayside cross and the Piccolo Monte Re peak, offering stunning views of the surrounding area.
Along the way, you will also find the Monumento al minatore, a memorial commemorating miners, and several drinking water stations to refill your water bottles. A bar called Bar One is located nearby for a quick snack or drink if needed.
